Join Friends of Copperfield Nature Trails in a fun filled adventure observing plants and animals as part of the City Nature Challenge 2026!
Nature lovers all across Austin are invited to take part in a bioblitz challenge identifying as many plants and animals in their natural habitat as possible. We will be using an application called iNaturalist to help identify and record observations. More details below.

What to Bring:
- Please bring plenty of drinking water and fluids to stay hydrated throughout the day. Electrolyte beverages and snacks encouraged!
- Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate gear for outdoor activities and uneven terrain.
- We recommend wearing long pants with ankle coverage for protection against irritants, bugs, and other environmental hazards. Sun protection including a broad-brimmed hat, sunscreen, and light-colored, lightweight clothing are recommended. Bug Spray is recommended to prevent bug bites.

Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or supervising guardian to volunteer.
